How does it feel to win this Meta Weekly?
It's my first Meta Weekly win so I'm happy I finally got to achieve one of my goals! However, it's quite sad that this was only a 40 player Weekly. I guess that kind of contributed to my win, but I faced against Top Tier players so that made it fun.
What do you think about this post-banlist format?
Loading... to 3 was the only notable change in the latest banlist. I expected more hybrid Neos decks with Harpies, Witchcrafter etc. But for this Weekly I didn’t face them.
Why did you go with Abyss Actors?
Sealed Tombs is very oppressive in this current meta. The skill pretty much targets every relevant deck right now, especially Phantom Knights. I believe this will be the way to play Abyss Actors until Phantom Knights are dethroned from Tier 1. In other words, Pendulum best deck!
How did the day go for you? Any notable matchups?
It was funny because I forgot about Daylight Saving Time so I got a DQ loss in Round 1 of swiss. Ironically, my Round 1 was versus Zenzoh who I faced in the finals. In my Round 3, I was against Drizzels and I sacked him twice successfully. He told me to win it all if I drew that well. Fortunately, his advice worked.
Anything you'd like to say about your decklist?
It is a pretty standard build. Only difference is I main-decked Loading... and Loading... . They didn’t come up in my Game 1’s so that kind of sucked. You might want to switch them to other techs like Loading... , Loading... or another Loading... .
Do you have anything else you'd like to say about your Tournament Experience?
As always, Meta Weeklies are handled very well. Also, I’m happy with this starting time since that’s the time I can consistently play. I was watching
’s stream during my tournament run and I listened to his rants about the game. Hopefully Konami finally listens and does something to improve the game. I’m still coping that the game will thrive and the community will rise again.
