Altergeist is a control deck played by Emma Bessho (Ghost Gal ) in the Yu-Gi-Oh! Vrains anime. The look of their monsters take inspiration from a mix of folklore, mythology & malicious softwares, mirroring the occupation & personality of their owner as a top hacker and femme fatale.
Initially released in Witch's Sorcery, Altergeist would not see any competitive success until years later with the arrival of Ghost Gal and the main box Deep Emotion, which brought along the main core of the strategy, making it a solid tier 3/rogue pick for the time. The deck also received a small buff later in the mini box Scream of Resistance.
The main goal of the deck is to outresource the opponent with lots of traps, a variety of floating effects, lots of traps, diverse removal options, and lots of traps. Did I mention the traps?

Altergeist Multifaker
The biggest playmaker of the deck. She is what makes the deck run and have the payoff it has. Loading... has 2 effects:
- She can Special Summon herself after a Trap card is activated, making the second effect easier to trigger. Keep in mind that if a Trap effect is negated, she can still Summon herself by this effect, however if a Trap card activation is negated, she cannot.
- If she is Special Summoned, she can Special Summon another "Altergeist" monster from Deck with a different name. This is the most relevant effect of the card. Being able to access monsters directly from your Deck is one of the best effects any card can have and Loading... is no exception to this rule. In most cases, you will be using this effect to summon Loading... during your opponent's turn in order to have an interaction in the form of a targeted bounce/return to hand. However Loading... can Special Summon other cards such as Loading... to negate cards with ignition or continuous effects, or even, Loading... or Loading... for extra plays on your own turn. Do keep in mind however that you cannot Special Summon non-"Altergeist" Monsters on the turn you activate this effect.
All in all Loading... is everything a starter/extender can wish to be, has its own Special Summoning condition on top of also recruiting more bodies into the field. Play as many as the game lets you.
Altergeist Meluseek
Using her mermaid's song to lure. Loading... is the main searcher of the deck, being able to add an "Altergeist" monster from deck to hand when sent from field to GY.
Normal Summon Loading... -> Link Summon Loading... -> Loading... 's effect searches Loading... is one of the more common plays an Altergeist player will make. Allows you to have easier access to your limited copies of Loading... or any other monster you wish, pretty self-explanatory, really.
