Rage Unleashed, the Chaos Unchained!
There was once a Sorcerer living in a village that was roused with danger. Although they had access to magic, it was not enough for him to keep their village safe from evil. And so, the Sorcerer decided to go on a journey to empower themselves and make them strong enough to protect all. After their journey ended, they returned to the village as a being who has mastered the Taoist Arts. They've achieved immortality and true power. With this power, the Sorcerer used their soul to summon their Shikigami. Together, they eradicated all that threatened the village. None can oppose them, and they destroyed everything that dared to hurt the humans.
Once the dust settled, the people of the village were overjoyed, but alas it only lasted for a while before the villagers were filled with fear and anxiety. Soon, the people realized that this power can very well be used against them if the Sorcerer ever desired to do so. And so, they plotted to get rid of the Sorcerer once and for all. After all, without any threat is there any reason for them to stay? They led the Sorcerer into a dark chasm, shrouding their intentions with elation and praise. But when the Sorcerer dropped their guard, the people sealed him away forever. The villagers hoped that the Sorcerer would be kept in the cage until their dying days, but alas, that wasn't the case.
Countless years passed, and before long, the soul of the Sorcerer was stained with evil, as they became driven by their resentment to the world and all who lived in it. With nothing but their mind to keep them company, the Sorcerer had only one thought.
Destroy. All. Humans. Don't. Spare. A Single. Soul.
Little by little, their power began to leak from their seals, and the magical master created two duplicates of their original form, one embodying their Anguish, and one embodying their Hatred and Rage, allowing the Sorcerer a chance for escape. They managed to break free, however the seal had lingering effects on these entities. They weren't fully free yet, with their eyes and limbs still bound. Their minds were that of children, innocent in nature yet perfectly capable of cruelty. The two go go on and unlock the various seals that kept the sorcerer bound, and with each seal destroyed, their own seals would be destroyed as well.
When more power was needed, they attempted to call forth the Shikigami of the Sorcerer. However, it seems like the Shikigami has transformed into a Wicked Beast, mirroring its' master's soul that has now been twisted filled with beastly thoughts. And so, the Shikigami's form reflected this. The Shikigami seemed to have been caught in the seal as well, as it was also bound once it had appeared, leading the Shikigami's form to be only ethereal.
To resolve the issue, each of the Twins would merge forms with the Shikigami to give it physical form. Through this power, they were able to break every seal until only one remained. But alas, the final seal brought upon a challenge. Together, the Twins would give all their power to the Shikigami, transforming it into a hulking monstrosity imbued with the Souls of Sorcerer's Rage and Anguish. With each step that this... Abomination took, it would reduce all around it into mere rubble.
And so, it began its march to the final seal. And if this seal were to break, then to world would truly know...
Destruction.
Unchained is a control deck centered around the destruction of your own cards and using your opponent's Monsters for powerful Link Summons. However, due to the uniqueness of the archetype, it could also be played as a powerful aggressive strategy that aims to OTK the opponent. This playstyle is more easily accessible in Duel Links as well, thanks to the starting amount of lifepoints being 4000. The deck excels in grind games due to how their cards play out, and because of how much recursion the deck has access to. Since destroying cards is the standard way of removal in most decks, it will genuinely feel impossible to beat the deck as sometimes it just doesn't feel like they run out of cards to go through since they WANT their cards to be destroyed. You'd have to be playing a deck revolving around banishing or bouncing if you want an easy way of dealing with the Deck.
Core Cards
Due to the archetype's gimmick, it would make much more sense if I started with the Spell/Trap cards over the Monsters.
