This is the format where everyone should highly-consider Main Decking Loading... , as it hits every Tiered deck (aside from Rokkets and S-Force) quite hard:

  • Mayakashi: hitting Loading... to prevent it from constantly coming back and climbing.
  • Tenyi: Hitting Loading... helps stem the flow of bodies and limits their grind game and access to Loading...
  • Hitting the Loading... target is huge, as Sombre is their best 1-card starter.
  • Live☆Twin: Interrupting the revive from the Evil☆Twin Link forces them to have Loading... to get the Loading... pop on your turn. Earth Machine: Hitting Loading... when your opponent tries to revive it is very good. Also, hitting Loading... , Loading... , or Loading... 's revive target can also stop their turn.

A card like Loading... is also good against Loading... 's GY effect, but its mainly a choice for the Side Deck as it's dead against Twins and Constellar.

Tier 1

TPC Comments

The new Pick-Up BOX has made Mayakashi more affordable and thus mroe people are experimenting new ways to play them. We are seeing builds with less monsters, even dropping Loading... for Loading... , adding more ways to deal with the metagame

Naturally, Mayakashi has become Tier 1, the deck is quite present in the Top Cuts of championships. Loading... makes the matchup against Tenyi good, Loading... is an insane card for Mayakashi and the upcoming Loading... should improve the deck even more.

Since Mayakashi has been on a tear lately there should be no surprise that it has risen. It has a skillful mirror-match from its grind game that can often end on deckouts, it benefits from Loading... way better than most decks, it has layered interruption, and can compete on par with Tenyi's grind game (with techs to help out the match-up).

Mayakashi is a highly-consistent deck that can continue playing through disruption with its ample resouces. Loading... helps bridge missing pieces and Loading... helps by drawing cards.

Mayakashi's rise is thanks to having a better Tenyi matchup than Constellar with a lot of recovery and extension. This looks to improve with the introduction of Loading... to the card pool but we'll have to see how it fares with the arrival of Shiranui.

After a strong recent showing, Mayakashi proves that it has everything a deck wants: Strong Turn 1 plays, ability to go second into most boards, great consistency and the space to run techs. Their matchup against Tenyi isn't bad either, leaving it up to player Skill.
