1st Place Global - リェロン
The 1st Place Global Duelist has posted a ton of their thoughts on social media, so we're going to try our best to translate and share them!
Here is the deck I used to take first place at the GR Festival. I used a Beast Goodstuff Deck from start to finish.
As for the reason behind the deck, I expected to deal with a lot of Dragonic Resonance and since bringing the same deck as the rest of the meta would not result in a good winrate, I excluded it. I chose Goodstuff because it seemed like it could nullify Loading... 's effectiveness.
Loading... is also very good, despite being a 1300 attacker. He can win battles against Loading... without using a discard, and since it also lowers Defense, it can also be used to break the Loading... lock in combination with Loading... .
Loading... was used as a countermeasure against Resonance decks. While strong, the deck has a clear weakness: its Dragons-Only Limitation and capping out at 2800 ATK, so a 2500 ATK Monster + 400 ATK reduction from The Barrier would be able to beat a 2800 Attacker
I used Roa Kassidy for Hamemr Crush Deal partially because I like him but also because the opponent will play differently when facing Roa.
The reason I chose the Beast Package instead of the Aqua Package was because the stats on the Vanillas were relevent. 1500 and 1300 ATK gets over the larger DEF of the set Dragons and 1500 trades with a Skill-boosted Loading...
Resonance was highly represented, but Ancient Forces wasn't too far behind. Most of the Goodstuff decks I faced were using the Loading... package.
