Notes & Combos

Bujins best deck, lesgoooooo!

I had pretty mixed sentiments on this run. First, every game up until Dlvl. 19 did not have too much meta match-ups, so it was pretty effortless. Most of the games I had lost were either from Book of Eclipse, lackluster end boards from not-so-great hands, and Shiranui, Lyrilusc, and Predaplants. This version is an update version with several techs for Lyrilusc since we struggle in the match-up; I changed to this 30-card variant at Dlvl 19. I suggest running Bujingi Fox to survive their onslaught and pray you draw a counter, but I ran a second Turtle instead.

I would say the skill, Overlay Control, is the most optimal skill. It is far more consistent than Order of Chaos and other skills; Torifune or Mahitotsu+ any Bujin are both one-card or 1.5-card combos respectively. Essentially, you have 9 ways (including Tenki) to start combo.

Alexis (Hirume) and Bastion (Arasuda) are nice extenders to have in hand when you have full combo, but I think keeping them at one is plenty. Quilin and Centipede can dismantle boards if your opponent least expects them (which they usually do since 9/10 times they do not understand the deck). Hare, Turtle, and Sinyou are mandatory in my opinion to reinforce your Amaterasu. Crane is optional, but I find that it is clutch for going lethal.

Regarding the extra deck, I think it is fine. I really wanted to fit one more Susan0w0 since the Mahitotsu line uses all two, but I think all the other rank 4s have their occasional moments. The typical endboards usually end on a Bujin Amaterasu (Protected by Hare and Turtle/Sinyou, depends on the matchup) and another rank 4 (Kagutsuchi, Traptrix, or Dweller depending on the matchup. I recommend Kagutschi against Sky Striker, Blue-Eyes, and other destruction-heavy decks. For the Mahitotsu line, it usually ends on a Drill Driver, Amaterasu, and maybe another rank 4 if you have one additional extender. Also, if you have the Utopic Ray Lancer Xyz card, I suggest using it. It is very good into Lyriluscs, but I did not possess it at the time. These boards usually offer decent protection and follow up with Amaterasu's effect.

Yes, this deck can brick, especially with this 30-card variant. I wasn't having the best games against the two tier 1 decks either. Still, the deck is very fun, and maybe try it out if you have all the cards. I don't think I am playing the deck to its highest potential, but check out the replays if you want to see some combos. Good luck!
