Notes & Combos
Very tough King of Games this time because Dweller was everywhere. That's what Chalice is for, and the Kaijus were convenient going 2nd (if not, I just get to Mallet for 1).
Advanced tips:
1. Getting a free discard for Abom
If you face a backrow deck, and you make it to their End Phase, you can use Escape to destroy Rage or Anguish, causing CL1 add back to hand, CL2 Abom in hand to summon itself.
On the following Chain, you will then have a card in hand to discard. This is a solid play even if you now have nothing in hand, provided you have Chamber set for reviving Sarama as follow-up. You would have popped 2 cards (and linked off up to 1 monster) in this exchange.
2. Playing through targeting effects
Into backrow, you will want to set a Trap, but DON'T activate Aruha yet. Normal Summon Rakea with Toggle On to check for delays. Then after making your predictions, activate Aruha. Keep Rakea live as long as possible and you can dodge one targeting effect during your combo.
QUICK GUIDE
Three setups you want to achieve:
- Rakea/Aruha, Sarama, set Escape
This takes a hand of Aruha/Rakea + Escape, where you summon Sarama using Escape in the GY, re-set Escape, pop Aruha for Rakea. This plays around Shaddoll, Lunalight, and Blue-Eyes. The first 2 decks now cannot fuse from Deck, and the third deck will fail to successfully resolve Successor Soul as long as you chain to destroy the targeted monster. This is still 2 disruptions but plays it safe against the aforementioned decks.
- Soul of Rage, set Escape and/or Chamber
This takes a set of cards that gets to Aruha, Escape, Chamber in hand. Aruha destroying 1 of them, you summon Sarama, re-set the Trap then pop Aruha, summon Disaster or Abom, then link off for Soul of Rage. I prefer Disaster here because it is a great buffer against decks that are aggressive in the battle phase. Avoid putting Abom in GY against Fleur as they will revive it going 2nd. This is 2-3 disruptions, depending on if you make Unicorn with Soul of Rage.
- Soul of Rage, Disaster, set Escape and/or Chamber
This is the ultimate board, which has Abom in GY as well. You need Aruha, Escape, and Rakea in hand. Escape summons Sarama, re-set Escape, pop Aruha, summon Abom. Then normal summon Rakea, pop Sarama for Disaster in defense, and link off Abom and Rakea for Soul of Rage. The reason for this is sneaky. You can pop Disaster with Escape, triggering Disaster to revive Abom to discard 1 and pop another card on the following Chain. That's 3 disruptions.

Gonna have a video up on youtube within the week. It will have intense boards that I break, or show some cool ways I use my techs.
