Simple guide

Going First: You aim for total lockdown against Hero, using Speaker, Warlock, and Defender. No flips, no spells, no battle. On your turn, synchro Speaker and Defender into Gungnir, leaving Warlock on the field to maintain the spell lock. Use Gungnir to pop two cards. Since Hero decks rarely rely on traps, they usually can’t respond to this. However, keep Eclipse to counter Needle Ceiling. From there, you’ve basically already won.

Going Second: Super Poly is rarely a threat because it’s a water deck, so unless they leave a vanilla Neos on the field, which they usually don’t, you’re safe. The main obstacle is obviously Armed Thunder. You deal with it using a board breaker or Secret Guards. Eclipse is usually the best choice.

Tech Options:

Medium: Addresses the deck’s reliance on normal summons. She is the only Ice Barrier that can special summon herself without requiring another Ice Barrier. However, it’s situational and can be a brick in hand.

Secret Guards: Used in my older version of the deck for lockdown as the third end-board piece. Provides extra protection but can be inconsistent in certain matchups.

Spellbreaker: The choice against Predaplants if they regain relevance. Even if they Kaiju your Warlock, Spellbreaker continues to lock their spells.
