Notes & Combos
The best control deck in Rush Duel Links returns with a very interesting build. Compared to my last build with Lightning Voltcondor, in this build I run a heavier lineup of Trap Cards, essentially increasing the Main Deck count up to 40 cards. Due to the fact that all Rush Duel Links traps nowadays rely heavily on triggering upon the right matchup, a good pilot with a decent understanding of the metagame and a higher-than-average skill level at the game is required to play this Deck.
The Gakuto exclusive Skill, Spectral Squall, essentially turns Blue Falcon Tengu into a 2800-ATK beater that only requires 1 Tribute, fitting for a deck that does not always have a load of Tribute fodders in store. I play 3 copies of Piercing Samurai to use as the Skill's fodders to send from my Deck to the Graveyard, since they are low-Level monsters and cannot brick your hand like Yamiruler or other Ruler cards. After using the Skill, you can then use Tengu to attack through mini-bosses like Luke's Dragias, Zuwijo's Requiem and Romin's Prima Guitarna, or trade on equal terms with Metarion bosses and Cyber Twin Dragon.
This deck dies to Ancient Gear Golem's ability to prevent battle traps, so always be aware of your opponents' Golems and save your few cards that can counter the Golem, such as Forever Freeze or Widespread Ruin. As always, it's an amazingly funny deck, and still probably Rush Duel's best control deck to have ever existed in Duel Links to this point.
