It is nice to be able to get to King of Games in Speed Duel with one of my favorite decks, Phantom Knights, in this meta with such busted skills.

I have been out of ranked play for Speed Duel for several months, focusing only on Rush Duel because I found it way more enjoyable. But as you know, this season of Rush Duel is all Chivalrous Celerity decks, and the meta has gotten so boring that I needed to go back to play Speed Duel to have some fun.

I decided to go with one of my favorite decks, Phantom Knights, and it really got the job done. I started in Gold 6 and reached to King of Games in a weekend. I t took more or less 80-90 wins for the total journey.

The deck is very strong, going first and second. Just spam-summon your Level 3 Phantom Knights into Broken Sword and proceed to selectively destroy the opponent's board to leave them weak to Dark Requiem XYZ Dragon or Arc Rebellion XYZ Dragon for a One-Turn-Kill win. The strategy is well known, but if you are curious you can watch the replays.

With respect to the meta, I found that the only matchup in which the deck struggles is against Dragonic Contact HEROs when they go second. All other decks whether going first or second are very winable. However, I believe that the deck fares better going second than first.

I'm happy to be back to Speed Duel piloting an all-time favorite.
