Notes & Combos

Sometimes when your deckbuilding you come across a card(s) that has huge potential, and fixes so many issues that your current deck is facing.

This is absolutely not one of those times

This deck is more fragile than Dragunity, has a worse grind game than Exodia and less consistency than Thunder Dragon, and it's the best thing I've ever created.

What originally started as a rank 4 spam deck ended up becoming more of a control deck that forgot how to control so it just keeps discarding cards to stay alive. It's not all bad though, the deck does have a few upsides.

Pros

  1. The Empowerment field spell boosts all warrior, dragon and spellcasters by 300 atk, which can add up when combined with out continuous spell. It can also summon any Empowered Warrior (EM) from deck, giving us an easily accessible level 4 body.
  2. Ventdra is summonable from the deck through the field spell and can attack directly. This combined with Trapeze Magician (which is also easy to access with hat tricker + any charmer/trick clown) can get upwards of 6000 damage, OTKing through even the +1500 LP skills.
  3. All of the EM's are different attributes, which allows us to discard a charmer with the field spell, and summon a differently-attributed warrior, which sets up Partnerships for next turn.

Cons

  1. Literally everything else

Because all the EM's are next to useless in hand (aside from a few situations where I won due to a topdeck of Ventdra or the pendulum) playing them basically adds 4 bricks to the deck that technically can have a payoff, but it's much better to play an archetype that actually does something. (Or at least works with itself...Tiger summons a normal monster when there are none in the archetype. Arnis summons a spellcaster when there aren't any in the deck. (And yes I know they are supposed to work with the Summoner monsters, but the field spell does nothing for them so why play them in the first place?)

Even with all the issues this deck has, I still enjoyed using it and I'm sure I made a lot of people confused. I will continue to make weird charmer decks, and no one, not even God, is going to stop me.

Unless God has one single disruption.

. .

Oh yeah and why does this deck have a flip monster?!?
