Notes & Combos

This deck is great fun to play but does have a tough time against top-tier decks especially if you don't open well. I'm at DLv. 22 at the moment but aiming to go all the way to the top! 🙏🏼

Card Explanation / Combos

• Gateway to Chaos searches BLS rituals and Gaia, and the second effect of the field spell allows you to search a ritual spell to maintain momentum.
• Expendable Dai can be used to tribute Gaia to destroy, draw, and search a BLS monster (including Envoy of the Beginning)!
• Silent Swordsman synergises well by tributing Gaia to instantly search a BLS monster, and the skill adds a ritual spell. It also provides a OPT spell negate on the field, plus searchable with RotA is a bonus.
• Envoy of Chaos is a hand trap that wins many games. It can be used to push for OTK with any BLS on the field as its ATK becomes 4500. It can also be used on Gaia which catches many people off guard as they assume they have easy game with only a 1900 ATK monster on the field but this boosts it to 3400 ATK whilst also debuffing them.
• Super Soldier Soul can be linked into Linkuriboh, then you can banish it from GY to seach Beginning/Twilight Knight to make plays (first effect is rarely useful).
• IDP can be replaced with Crackdown, Compulse, BoM, etc.

Tips

• The ritual spell sends 1 monster from the hand and 1 from the deck which allows for a lot of flexibility. I would use Djinn/Gaia to make BLS trap immune which catches many people off guard. Using both Beginning/Twilight Knight for the summon was the most powerful move as BLS can banish 2 monsters on the field, 1 card from the hand, and also attack twice!
• Envoy of the Beginning (EotB) can banish Beginning/Twilight Knight from the GY for its summon then search another BLS ritual monster and spell for next turn. Occasionally, I used EotB to banish a monster, then Xyz into Dingirsu/Galaxy-Eyes to remove another card on the field.
• Phoenix is useful as BLS can link, destroy a backrow, then summon BLS again from the GY.
• The Dark Armed Dragon Xyz sees occasional play, as it could be summoned if the opponent destroyed Super Soldier, which floats into a Gaia.
• The skill not only improves brick hands but also sets Super Soldier Rebirth (activatable same turn) and can push for OTK on turn 2 or dodge an interruption. The second effect to banish from the GY and add any BLS monster from the GY to the hand is useful to dodge IDP or add back EotB to summon again.
