Balance makes you always open 1 Monster, 1 Spell and 1 Trap. Which means that with this lineup you will always have either Caspar, or Starfire who gets you to Caspar, so you have your Musket gameplan ready.
The current meta matchups are somewhat decent for Muskets, since you can banish up to 3 cards from GYs on either turn. To make the most out of this, and to maximize my odds of opening Lance, I cut Duality for 3rd Needle.
Try to end games asap, Muskets have no grind game. You can win as early as Turn 3 if you went first with Starfire and broke your opponent's board with your backrow. On your turn activate one more backrow in Caspar's column, search another backrow, then activate that on Starfire's column to Summon a 2nd Caspar to your field, and make Acid Golem for 4300 damage.
Starfire + Gaia is only 3900 damage unfortunately, but that too can be game if your opponent cluelessly swung into Cross Dom. Better yet, if they attacked a Caspar in DEF and got hit by Cross Dom (bonus points if your Caspar was hit by Book beforehand), you can just Nightmare Shark for game.
Still haven't Summoned Darius and still the Dark Magician matchup is pain. I just wanted to face more meta matchups like Orcust...
