Notes & Combos

Overall a really fun, spicy deck that I cooked up. I was able to get 5 wins in a row with it in Legend 1 and get the rankup to Legend 2 easily. The premise of the deck is super simple and the Extra Deck is pretty much irrelevant. You can tell I haven't updated the Extra Deck in years since it still contains Link Disciple, back when Iblee Locks were a thing. Basically, you just summon a Timelord and try to burn your opponent's life points down to zero before they even have a chance to play the game. The Battle Traps were great in saving me if my opponent didn't hard open backrow removal and even if they did, the Timelord is still really annoying for them to deal with if they don't have non-destruction removal. This is probably not the greatest deck out there, but it is something fun while I'm waiting for my waifu Ghost Gal to release into the game. I'll have a good Altergeist decklist when she's out, but in the meantime, I'm just having fun with meme decks till Altergeists are here to close out Spook Month 2023. Good luck and have fun!

Also a huge shoutout to Lazion the Timelord for being an auto-win into the Black Luster Soldier matchup. Just being able to nuke their entire graveyard will automatically win you the duel right then and there. Every other matchup felt really winnable too since the deck excels at quickly depleting your opponent's life points to zero before they have a chance to play the game or set up a good board. It's all about the timing with Just Desserts and Secret Blast to get the maximum damage output with them.

Overall this is a really fun meme deck while waiting for Altergeists to come out.

3 lazion seems bad, scrap iron could be a much better tech, way too many burn traps. Ur just burning like 2k life with this and all ur resources are gone bro

The lazion can be Swapped for a different time lord that burns. But it's really good against BLS and Tenyi sometimes times. You could play pot of Duality

Make sure you have the Toggle "ON" instead of "AUTO" It helps chain combos together quickly

I actually like using Odion Trap Burn and I honestly didn't expect it to perform as well as it did. Granted, there is some luck involved in winning because the deck is kind of contingent on your opponent not having backrow removal (for your Battle Traps) and also not having non-destruction removal to out the Timelord on the field. If they don't have that, then you should easily be winning the game since this decklist excels at quickly depleting your opponent's life points to zero before they have a chance to do anything. With that being said, my only fear so far is Konami butchering Ghost Gal's skills and fueling a weird Trap Burn strategy on Odion, which would honestly suck because I've been waiting on Ghost Gal for years and it would just be salt on the would to play her Altergeist trap deck on an irrelevant duelist like Odion.

Either way though, this deck's fun and I suggest trying it. Depleting your opponent's life points without actually setting up a board or doing anything is one of the many ways to make your opponent uninstall Duel Links and throw their phone (or their computer monitor) out the window.
