Notes & Combos

Only has 1 card changed, but still performs well overall! Swapping out my Illusion Magic for another Successor Soul brings me towards a much more aggressive style deck, where recovering resources isn't necessarily the goal.

Dark Hole and Crackdown are both very good for insurance against decks that either do not have destruction protection OR absolutely rely on a specific monster. Only 1 copy of each does make it harder to draw into them consistently, but it still works without hindering the overall opening consistency!

Notes about 2 of my replays:

Borreload Link: Since Borreload Furious Dragon was Fusion Summoned with Rapid Trigger, it was unaffected by the activated effects of monsters Special Summoned from the Extra Deck, so I couldn't negate its effect with Dark Cavalry. IF I left it alone, Successor Soul could've won me the Duel. Sometimes a simple mistake due to not reading can throw the Duel. Make sure to always read your opponent's effects!

Lunalight: Panic activating Successor Soul very well cost me the Duel, as I was hoping to draw Crackdown that was placed on the top of the Deck. However, since I panicked and Special Summoned from the Deck, the card I was hoping for was not what I drew and I wasted an interruption. Never panic activate your cards. Always save them for the right moment. If I saved Successor Soul for later, I could've potentially survived that turn!
